The Pacaloy 300 Series Beehive Valve Spring Retainers are machined from 4130 Chrome Moly Steel. These lightweight designed retainers are Heat Treated and Black Oxide Finished. We highly recommend the Pac 300 Series Beehive Springs for most entry level and budget minded builds. While still heavier than Titanium Retainers, the 300 Series Retainers offer better strength and a lighter weight design when compared to other Steel Retainers. The PAC-R331 Retainers were specifically designed for the PAC-1517 Valve Springs and other Beehive Valve Springs with a .500" ID that are using 7 Degree Valve Locks. The R331 Retainers will fit the Ford Modular NPI, SVO and TFS Cylinder Heads using the PAC-1517 Valve Springs.
